My name is Sergei Toder, I am 46 years old. By education I am a teacher of physical culture. In 2014 I graduated from St. Petersburg State University named after P. F. Lesgaft, pedagogical faculty, undergraduate.
Since then, all my professional development has been related to movement, body and how to change a person’s life for the better, because health is essentially the first form of wealth.
Over the past 10 years I’ve worked with different children, but it’s the last five to six years I’ve spent with children with ASD and autism that have completely changed my understanding of development, neurophysiology and human potential.
In the process of working, I have identified one important, strange and fundamental feature and pattern that unites absolutely all children with autism on earth.
This feature lies in the fact that many children are "trapped" not in the psyche and brain dysfunctions as such - but in the body, in breathing, in disrupted biomechanical and respiratory patterns of inhalation and exhalation.
And when you return the body to the right rhythm and the entire muscle, joint and respiratory cycle of "shortening-relaxation", the so-called special child unfolds in a way no one expects.
Unfortunately, to date, this pattern and peculiarity is quite terrifying.
Why is ?
The child does not breathe properly, and therefore simply does not interact properly with the environment, but nobody notices this.
These strange discoveries, along with the successful results of dozens of children and the gratitude of their families, prompted me to write a book and create my own biomechanical method that combines the tools of adaptive and therapeutic physical training, sensory integration and work with the chest, diaphragm and the respiratory system itself.
I’m a practitioner who stands on the carpet next to the child every day – and sees how small steps at the beginning of rehabilitation turn into big developmental steps.
That is why I do my business.
