Elementary muscle cycle contraction and relaxation - life itself

The elementary muscle cycle is a continuous shift in contraction and relaxation, thanks to which a person is able to carry out motor planning and postural control according to the current situation. When inhaled, the muscles are reduced and when exhaled they are relaxed. This cycle finds its continuation in all muscle and joint work!

If a child has "lost" this cycle during breathing work, he will lose it wherever possible. The absence of a long exhalation always brings terrible muscle tension!

All muscle work will now be carried out in an absolutely unusual range for humans "shortening - reducing"!This will lead to a disruption of the entire work of the proprioceptive and tactile systems, to a reaction of avoidance in response to touch.

The enormous role of this cycle is explained by the fact that only one part of it - the contraction, is subject to arbitrary impulses of the central motor command, and the second part - relaxation occurs passively and is caused by the elastic-binding properties of the muscle (which special children no longer have!).

This cycle works literally in each of our actions: when we manipulate our hands in space or walk/run, the muscles of one leg contract, the other relax; when we get up from the chair, the abdominal and back muscles contract, and then relax.

If the muscle / respiratory cycle is disrupted or absent in principle, the body loses postural control / control over posture - children begin to fall, "swim" in motion, quickly get tired and lose concentration and can not hold attention to one type of activity even for a short time!

The correct muscle cycle is the main engine of smooth walking, stability/ posture and the child’s ability to keep his body in space.

The Conclusions :

No cycle - no control of the posture!

No cycle – no normal movement!

There is no cycle – there is no motor planning and execution of sequential movements and actions.

I will add: there is no communication, no behavior, no proper concentration and correct adaptive response according to the contextual life situation.

There is complete sensory disintegration.
