Proper breathing is as important for these processes as the foundation for any home.
When we breathe, the body gets support: the muscles are activated by contraction, and the entire cycle of contraction and relaxation is started, without which our movement (harmonic and beautiful!) simply will not take place.
At exhalation, the muscles relax - and this change in tension and relaxation creates stability, balance and proper posture.
Posture is the usual posture of an unforced standing person without active muscle tension!
What a wonderful concept, isn’t it?Especially for children with RAS and autism.
Here you and the unforced usual posture without muscle tension and normal postural control! As you understand, muscle tension, decreased postural stability, lack of balance reactions in special children at least relieve, which means posture and motor coordination disorders during de facto movement are already present in full.
If breathing is superficial, the body loses support: movements become rugged, the walk is disrupted, the child quickly gets tired and "falls out" from his posture.
Therefore, breathing is not just physiology, it is the main mechanism that makes the body alive, stable and able to move. But here is another definition of posture that tells us about the real problems of special children, children with autism and RAS:
Posture is a complex act of coordinated dynamic and static tensions and relaxation, carried out by the processes of inhibition and excitation in the central nervous system.
As you can see, if there is no breath and no exhalation, then there is no posture, there is no series of harmonious patterns, which are called walking or running!
In general, no matter how you turn to the concepts of posture, we still “go out” on the biomechanics of the chest and the whole body, the correct functioning of the diaphragm, and therefore the work of the entire human respiratory system.
